Winter Retreat (age 15-19)

Camp Ages: 15-19
Dec 26 - Dec 31

Come to Storybook Lodge for a great time of fellowship, skiing and snowboarding at nearby Giants Ridge! Jason Pettys and Caleb Bulow will be speaking this year. This retreat is for teens age 15 and up.

The retreat starts with supper starting at 6pm on Dec 26 and wraps up with breakfast on Dec 31.

Description

Winter Retreat starts the day after Christmas and goes until New Year’s Eve. Teens and young adults can enjoy a week of Bible teaching, delicious food, quality fellowship, and winter activities (including daily skiing trips to Giant’s Ridge ski resort!)

This week is a chance to unplug and reconnect with friends, mentors, and most importantly, the Lord. Sound Bible teaching bolsters spiritual growth, and there is plenty of time to reflect, discuss, and deepen friendships.

While the gym is almost always busy with basketball, volleyball, or dodgeball tournaments, the outdoors provides opportunities to sled, trek across the frozen lake, go ice fishing, or play broomball and snow football. If you want to warm up, there are often board games and hot beverages in the dining hall or impromptu music sessions in the chapel.

Each day there is an opportunity to go to Giant’s Ridge for skiing or snowboarding. Bring your gear or rent from the resort; you will also need to purchase your own lift ticket each day.

Registration FAQ

Please contact the camp Director as soon as possible to allow other campers who are on the waitlist a chance to be at camp. You can cancel a registration using the form below, or call/text Uncle Bill at 218-410-4119

The waitlist is utilized when a camp has all available spots filled. When this happens, a potential camper is placed on the waitlist. If a camper with an existing spot cancels due to illness or another unexpected event - the Camp Director will begin backfilling these open spots on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are on the waitlist, you will receive an email if your name (or your child's name) is "on deck" or up next. You will have a limited time to respond before the Camp Director will fill the spot with another camper lower on the waitlist.

No, only one camper per camp per year. This policy is in place to allow space for other campers to enjoy Story Book Lodge!

View Story Book Lodge medical forms here. These forms need to be printed, completed, and signed by a parent before a camper can be admitted to Story Book Lodge. Bring the forms with you when you bring your child to camp.

Please contact us on our Contact Page if you are having issues with registration. We will attempt to troubleshoot the issue or help you manually register for a camp.
